What mag1 is and what it is used for
mag1 is a health supplement which:
• Helps to metabolise carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
• Serves as workout support/supplement.
• Helps to support muscle tissue repair in individuals involved in resistance training.
• Contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.
• Is a factor in the maintenance of good health.
• Is an antioxidant.
• Contributes to tissue formation.
What you need to know before you take mag1
Do not use:
If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the ingredients in mag1 (listed in section 6).
Warnings and special precautions
Special care should be taken with mag1:
- Do not exceed the indicated daily dose.
- Consult a relevant health care provider prior to use if you:
- are pregnant;
- are breastfeeding;
- have a seizure disorder;
- are diabetic and using insulin or medication to lower blood sugar levels;
- have a liver disease; and/or
- have a kidney disease.
Children
Not suitable for children unless under the direct supervision of a relevant health care provider.
Mag1 with food, drink and alcohol

Pregnancy and breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby,
please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other health care provider for advice before taking this medicine.
mag1 contains corn starch and magnesium stearate
If you are allergic or think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients listed above, avoid use or consult your health care provider prior to use.
RECOMMENDED USAGE / DIRECTIONS
How to take mag1
Adults: Take 2 (two) capsules twice daily after meals, orally.
Always use mag1 exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse have told you. Check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure.
Do not exceed the indicated daily dose.
Do not share medicines prescribed for you with any other person.
In the event of over dosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, contact thenearest hospital or poison centre.
Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.
Consult your health care provider should you feel unwell.
Possible side effects
mag1 can have side effects.
Not all side effects reported for mag1 are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen
or if you experience any untoward effect while taking mag1, please consult your health care provider for advice.
If any of the following happens, stop taking mag1 and tell your doctor immediately or go to the
casualty department at your nearest hospital:
- Hypersensitivity reaction
- Hypermagnesemia with signs such as:
- respiratory depression,
- loss of deep tendon reflexes,
or other symptoms such as:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- flushing of the skin,
- thirst,
- hypotension,
- drowsiness,
- confusion,
- slurred speech,
- double vision,
- muscle weakness,
- bradycardia,
- coma, and/or
- cardiac arrest.
- Seizures
These are all serious side effects. You may need urgent medical attention.
Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following:
Unknown frequency:
- gastrointestinal irritation,
- abdominal cramps,
- diarrhoea,
- watery diarrhoea,
- nausea,
- vomiting.
How to store mag1:
- Store all medicines out of reach of children.
- Store in a cool, dry place at or below 25 ˚C.
- Do not use after the expiry date stated on the bottle.
- Return all unused medicine to your pharmacist.
- Do not dispose of unused medicine in drains or sewerage systems (e.g. toilets).
